Chipper (tuning concept) is gonna do it for me thought i would check a few reviews first but considering he has done so many late bmw i can't go wrong will i hope not lol also booked it in for a light tint next month shit man i need to sell her but i can't stop spending $$ also booking my feature but louise ginger head woodlands or what ever her name is an't in. I want read the feature first coz they always get there facts wrong in the write up which pisses me off i reckon they know fuck all about bmw anyway

how much is he charging you? And I agree with you about PBMW, most of the time, the cars they have are just wank. That estoril blue e36 vert with spinners is the nastiest car I've seen, but they think it's the most amazing thing to hit these shores!

Interesting. This boy flies up to Edinburgh Airport and basically does a load of them.

I was a bit sceptical at first but a few of the lads on the Scottish BMWCC forum have had it done. Everybody seems impressed, not too sure as to what sort of peformance/driveability changes you'll see though. Ask around.

Are u sure its a re-map and not a "piggyback" system?

Kav

I too contacted Chipper about a remap a couple of months ago. He quoted me £225 but he lives near me so he may be charging you a bit more for travel etc.

He done the remap on Tigger's 325 compact which is the same as mine. His results were pretty good!!

Here they are: http://forum.bmwcarmagazine.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=22807

212.9 bhp against 192 bhp standard!!!! Not bad for the $$$$!!!

@ 330ci Chipper told me that it is a remap not a piggy-back and that if the $tealers overwrite it he will reinstall it f.o.c!!! Also Tigger told me that the cor is soooo much more responsive below 2500 rpm!!!

Got to get it done myself!! But now Kav can be another "guinea pig" before i have it done!!!!

A 10% hike in power isn't bad for those bucks at all. Letting Kav guinea pig it sounds like a top idea to me aswell :D but I think that's made my mind up to go for this next.

Nick, did you decide to go for that new package ASA have out (SC, I think?) or are you going for the slightly bigger blower kit that Digs has on?

dude i'm getting 5 cars done for £195 so if you wanna get it done let me know pepper how much is the rolling road gonna cost me :-)

Its def not a piggy back type of thing i asked the dude. I had my e36 chipped and it removed that horrible flat spot in first gear and gave me better fuel return however that was a chip shich i replaced (BBR star chip) whith this remap i'll keep yuou poste dbut i have only heard good things so far so its worth a shot and i jave nothing to do in friday. Weere doing it in ruislip middlesex so if you want it done pop along! (obvioulsy let me know first)

that drop on spinners was nice it was at bimmerflex but spinners (not mu cup of t and iwasn't to sure about the nose panel either, who gives a shit though his bird was fit lol

Power Engineering are the dog's bolloxs imo. What they don't know isn't worth knowing. I've seen them do amazing things to cars and fix others which other so called top tuners failed to do.

Shame they specialise in Ford and Subaru :(

If anyone's a fan on Senna, Dave Power has quite a few great pictures in his office.

Yeah Dave knows his Jap cars. In fact everything he does is highly commendable except the one thing he endorses.....Superchips....complete WOT. Tuner of his caliber will be better off doing his own re-maps.

dont the re mapping burn your engine out faster? not saying its a bad thing to do but what are the long term efects of feeding your engine coke?
