Guys, what a long drive down from Hull to pick up my car...

But it was well worth the drive... The Z4's awesome... And I'm trying not to give a biased opinion... :D :D :D :D :D

Looks very :cool: welcome to the world of Alpina rims though get them clean and bung as many coats of polish on as possible to try and keep them that way...... car is well nice though liking the hardtop a lot roll on the summer though mate.

As lee said ASA do a loverly range of supercharges for the Z4, you know who to call ;)

Hehehe...

Woke up this morning and all I did was put on some jeans and jump in the car for a drive!

We'll lower it... I just hope it then has enough clearance to get in and out of the wonderful slope on my garage!

As for ASA, I LOVED their Z4 with the SK+... I think i'll have to start saving...

Need to get the indicators all changed to clear now...

I'm gonna remove one piece of foam from the "sound generator" to add a bit more engine noise... (awesome thing on the 3.0's only!)

Need to fit bulbs...

And then slap on the aero kit.

How does that sounds for now??

saw this at my dealer today while I was buying some locking nuts, did a little test drive and man this thing can fly, felt much faster than M3, must be the size of the car! I did struggle to get in and out though lol [bang

The 3.0 with an SK+ has the same power and way more torque... thats the way to go...

In such a small car though, 231bhp seems to be plenty though!

Or maybe the novelty of having some power hasn't worn off yet!!!!

just read some spec about the roadster s, man it IS faster than our M3:

wasn't too keen on the Z4 till bmw lent me one for the day 2 weeks sgo (featured in here)

my attitute changed completely, the brakes were just as good as my M3 and the car shifted like a hamster with a red hot poker up its arse.

i thoroughly enjoyed it and i am sure you will have plenty of fun in it.

the dead quick roof makes it easy at pelican crossings as us e46 vert owners have to wait for some long-timed traffic lights.

notice how the stereo faces away from the driver towards the passenger? lol

The Humber Bridge is always a laugh, makes the QE2 Dartford bridge look small.

Im always goin to London or Essex to visit friends or the family, its a great drive and full speed ahead is he answer, just have to watch those speed cameras!

As for wheel cleaners, i would be very careful around this subject, at the end of the day when you have rims that are expensive like yours and mine, its best to use just good old fairy liquid and a pressure washer. I work for Mercedes-Benz of Hull, i see wheels all day long that are corroding, as a result of using wheel cleaners, for a few mins longer that it takes to just wash your wheels that little harder, in the long run your far better off! I have a polished lip on mine and would never touch a wheel cleaner because after a while it eats into the wheels!

If you still want to use a wheel cleaner i would contact BMW, so if anything does go wrong then it was their products that you used!

Please, whatever you do, never put any washing up liquid near any part of your car.

It will rip off coatings with the grease detergents it has in it.

Ali, just wash your wheels with a proper wheel cleaner, and then wax them like Durgs is doing.

TBH, i dont know why you are worrying so much, as you will have new rims on that car in 4 months.

I think i'm going to try and get a hold of some bmw wheel cleaner (non acidic)...

Finally took the hardtop off today and have been cruising with the roof down...

I seriously recommend anyone without a convertible to go and get one! They're awesome!

The car's like a go-kart... it's literally point and squirt and it goes exactly where you want it to... And its got an incredible amount of grip...

I'd be interested to see it on a track against an m3... Being the lighter and more nimble car I think it'll have a serious advantage, no??
