Not sure on the lip spoiler, probably looks better in the flesh. Grilles are a great improvement. I had to have a second glance at the first pic when I looked too, cos for a second it looked like a 4-door 1-series at that angle!

I was there today Dan while they were washing the car. Saw it first time in flesh - black really makes the big car look slimmer - well done on the colour choice again :)

The car looks great - a suggestion if you don't mind? Yours is the E65 series; try to see if you can source the E66 boot. IMO it has a much more attractive boot lid, with the redifined taillight cluster and the chrome trim that runs parallell across the rear lamps :)

That's me done on this car now, unless a set of genuine ACS 20 - 22s appear on eBay for a decent price :)

Raja - I had thought about the E66 boot, but won't be keeping the car for more than 6 months, which is why I didn't get it dropped either (a lot of extra expense that won't pay back come resale time)

Planned car purchases are...

L200 arrives end of the month.

Once I've sold the Gallery, get the missus a car, possible E46 Touring, and ensure she passes her test this time!

Sell the E65.

Buy something with 320 bhp and two doors for a toy :D

I just got my car back from the bodyshop, and I had a P-Reg Rover 400 diesel with 120k on the clock! :D

I was so used to revving the balls off it, that it was quite a shock driving the BMW again, not used to it, lol

Skirts were too buggered to use in the end, but they didn't cost me anything so can't complain really!

The rear end has totally changed now - the boot lip spoiler looked weird before it went on the car. Looks better than on silver ones as the dark colour hides the joints.

Just awsome! :cool: we have the same tastes scorcher :D except you can afford them ! :( :D , as you stated the acs kit looks a tad pants on silver , thers a dirty diesel on autotrader with the full kit , doesnt look right , but on black it just blends!

I would like to clear something up the E65 is the short wheel base version of the 7er (745i) the E66 is the long wheel base version (745iL) .... the E66 is not the facilifted version of the E65 :)

Yeah, but the 760 only comes as long wheelbase in the UK so is an E66 :)
