Picked the lip up from the painters this morning and due to them not actually being open officially, had to install it myself. Frickin' mission. Only took me 2.5 hours!!! (Huge thanks to BodyTechnics in Slough for doing an "emergency" paint job. Dropped it off to them at 1pm yesterday, picked it up at 11.30am today!! These guys rock!)

Anyway. I honestly think it's the best mod I have EVER done, it has totally transformed the front end to what I can only describe as "a beast". I cannot tell you how hardcore this looks in black!

I'll let the pics tell you their story!

Digs, pics were taken with the foglight removed. I forgot to put it in if I'm honest :D, but it's all back and in place, if you look at that second pic, it's actually the last pic I took today and it's there ;)

Kam, thanks bro,

James, cock-up isn't the word. My painter looked at it and just laughed. But if you were happy enough to send it as it was , then that's cool.

Afif, thanks dude :)

Not to my taste, just looks like its stuck on. But definitely changes the appearance of the front end. :)

The last thing you said on the matter was "we'll see"

Then I had to go out to dinner - far from throwing my toys out the pram.

Also, wasn't just the colour. The quality was up shit creek too

Hi BigFas

That Hamann lip looks fantastic, mind you your ride looked fantastic before :) but what about those speed bumps won't it scratch the underneath as your ride has been droped ?

Trust me, his car is still too tall to threaten any speed bumps ;) :D

The Hamann lip doesn't extend any lower than the CS splitters.

Up in the north, some speed bumps I have been over have been dam high. I can remember one perticuler one I scraped the underneath of my A6 as the front hangs over a lot past the front wheels  mind you it was on a private road.

Cheers guys :)

Kam, BodyTechnics are Porsche specialists but last year they became the official painters for Altwood BMW. When my car got pranged last year it went to these guys and I got on really well with the manager. He now does cash jobs for me :) Spoilers, splitters, that kind of thing. Any of the bigger jobs, he'll still want it taken through the front door. If you want anything like this done, let me know, I'll hook you up.

Speed bumps aren't an issue just yet, but I'm going dead slow over them :( as for being as low as clubsport splitters, Nick's right, they're no lower than the ones I had before. The only danger is car park kerbs, I tend to park ass in, so that's not a problem :)

And apologies for airing laundry in public. What's happened has happened. It's all about lessons learned and I've learnt mine. Move onwards and upwards

I suspect it will be Fas that's taking the piss out of me soon. He seems to be watching a thread about M3 engine installations into E46 coupe's very closely!

Fas, just jesting mate. So what's happening in Dec 2005? It'll need to be effin' quick to leave us all behind. I should have my uncle's 993 Turbo by then.

I think you will find its a good bit lower than the C.S splitters mate if ye go over them bumps a bit to quick i guarantee you it will scrape ;)

Hmmm, it'll be pretty close ;)

Plan is to get a 745Li and take a trip straight down to ASA and blow it! Pennies are already being put aside :D

No way dude! That'll be the fastest coffin carrier on the planet. Have you ever driven a longwheel base 7? Its friggin' huge. You'll need a supercharger for each cylinder to keep up with me!

Still, quality idea though. Why not go for the 750?

Afif
18-10-2004, 10:03 PM
or the 760li :D :D now that would be something :o

Nick, 545 may be the better choice, but I seriously can't live with the looks no matter how hard I try :(

But I've seen some amazing 7's so that's where I'm going
