Swopping Steering wheels for sport/m3 one

I'm about to buy either the Sport or m3 wheel for my e46 323ci. At the moment I have the triangular steering wheel with airbag. I have located a wheel and round airbag but they are telling me I need a slip ring.

Can anyone shed any light on this and whats involved?

I replaced my old "triangular" sterring wheel to the new 2001+ round airbag type ones.. and needed the above part to connect up to the 2 stage airbag. costs around 20quid from the dealer.

Hmmm I was quote £50 quid. Must check this out properly.
