Imola Red Paint code

Need a bit of help please.

Has anyone got the paint code for Imola Red 2? BMW say 405, but that is coming out green:confused:

Aparently I need the numbers after the 405/????

Thanks Ted, I've checked the web as well as with BMW, and they all say 405 only, but painter has ordered paint & it's come out green:confused:

Apparently the numbers after the slash tell the computer what other colours to put into the mix:confused:

I have checked various websites and also my local dealer they all say 405 only. We did a couple of imola red cars last year and I think we also put 405 into the mixer. strange. the thing with 405/? is only found on certain cars, I do not know how BMW decide to put the/ or not after the 3 digit code. On some silver cars you see TITANSILBER 354 and sometimes you see TITANSIL
BER 354/7 (see now with a /7 after the usual 354) but they don't usually make a difference.

this a list of all BMW green colour code and I don't see one closer to 405?

Imola Red II part number is 51 91 1 052 629 if that helps...

Also 408 is green according to that list Teddy just posted, your man sure he ordered 405 not 408 by mistake?

yeah I've had that discussion with him already, but he's insisting 405 is green:confused:

BMW have just sent me over the formula for mixing

I'm sure he's mixed it wrong, and trying to bullsh*t that I've given him the wrong code.

I've seen that link as well Fas, plus a couple of others, plus 2 dealers , and Ted has put the code up as well. All the evidence is in my favour!

I ain't paying for it till he gets it right:mad: Have told him to sort it out!
