:D ive had my x5 about 2 months, done about 6,000 miles and im bored, time to get shot... ive taken a deposit, once the number plate is off, itl be gone:) :D

im after a 330ci vert now...for the summer....
any problems i should be looking out for?
ive seen loads of 330 ci verts all around 02/03 plate with about 40-60k on the clock, any particular reason why everybody is selling them around that with many miles on them
also i would perfer a 53 plate facelift and auto! not to bothered about the sat nav or anyting, but must be a sport. what kind of mpg do you get from driving around down and motor way? and what about when driving it hard?

im quite fussy with my cars, let me state my previous cars
when i passed, honda civic 1.4 petrol p reg - that lasted about 3 months

next was a mercedes 98 e240- kept that for 6 months
after followed a bmw 525d 2001, that lasted 8 months and did about 12,000 miles
then came the dream car-m3 04 plate vert
at that stage i had to start uni, and taking the m3 2 uni was not a wise financial decision, so this would mean my mum would have to drive it, and she did, and HATED THE SMG gear box!! was too funny! so i wasnt driving it, apart form weekends, so was pointless keeping it. got shot of that! then i brought a merc c220 cdi se sport, fully loaded 04 plate.
wrapped up a good 12.000 miles in that and sold it. kept that for i think 4 months. then deicded to go 4x4 and got my self a x5. which i have currently, and taken a deposit for it. In a wise financial position know so planed to px the x5 in for a black vert m3 manual from the dealer. know problem is insurance has changed alot, where as before i was paying £2000 for insurance on the m3, im not allowed to drive until im 21! but i can drive a 330ci for 1k insured fully comp??doesnt make sence to me, cant drive a type r 2 litre either??any body know the new deal with the insurance?

Hi,

The 02/03 verts flooding the market are probably people chopping in after their warranty expiring / lease plans coming to an end..

I had an auto 330 sport convertible which returned worse mpg than my current M3 tbh, round town 16/17mpg and maybe 30mpg on long steady runs (which i never do btw).

If you're easily bored of cars, then imo, an auto equipped 330 vert will not satisfy you for very long. I was shot of mine within a year, despite buying it new and speccing it well. If I was after a short term convertible today, i'd plump for the E93 which will have rock solid residuals in the short term if you do get bored quickly.

Am not sure I undertsand your insurance query

Yes i am not sure about your insurance query either.

From what I can gather, you were able to be insured on the M3 in the past, albeit for a high premium, and now they wont let you drive one at all?

That may just be down to the company you are with. Have you tried phoning round?

DAMN thats bad car usage.... you should test drive a car first !!! and keep it longer than a year maybe? but if you can afford to do that then why not sell up constantly ....

I feel for you cars i really do ... not knowing where they stand with you *rolls eyes* LOL :D:D:D
you just use and abuse and dump :( think how they feel!! lol
