Hey guys!

I was home in the states a few months ago and noticed all the stuff they had to chip and tune their bmw's. I came upon a chipping tool called "the shark" it gave about 15 -19 hp more. what the cool thing was, you could install it yourself.

Is there something like this here in europe? I live in Sweden and everything costs a leg and and arm.. plus tax  it would be nice to find something that gave a noticeable difference. We are about 5 guys that have bmw's here and more on the way.

Welcome [hiya

The Shark Injector (Jimmy Comforti software) is specific for US spec cars. It is not compatible with European models. I've enquired about this. It is tuned to follow the emission laws and different engine software the cars have in the US.

In Europe, there are tons of other re-mappers. DiGi-Tec, AMD, MK-Motorsport, Hamann just to name a few.

If you're going to send your ECU to have it re-mapped, I would send it to bigger company like Hamann to ensure proper transportation. www.hamann-motorsport.de

The Shark is unique. I don;t think there's anyone else who devise such a system. Usually the new software is uploaded from a lap-top into your ECU port.

You should be able to find such service in Sweden.

My contacts are mostly in the UK, and they work on customers' cars on site rather than removing the ECU and sending it by post.
