I bought this M5 difuser off eBay for a project, I really like the colour but have no idea what it is - can anyone help? :)

Looks like Interlagos Blue.

Edit: Does the guy you bought it off not know? It may not even be a standard colour if he's done some modding etc..

It's off an E39, thought it might be mystic but im not sure. I've asked the seller but not had an answer yet :)

Standard Blues are Lemans and Avus Blue. I am pretty sure it is not Avus as I have that on my car. LeMans Blue then?

Aye pretyy sure it's not Avus, unless those photos are dodgy :p. Doesn't quite look bright enough for LMB, but unless it's been custom sprayed then an E39 shouldn't be Interlagos - hence my question really.

Almost certain that its Le Mans Blue. ;)

Avus blue is slightly lighter than that so pretty sure it's LMsB

This is what Avus Blue looks like in the sunlight. Looks almost turquoise.

I think everyone has already unanimously agreed that it isn't Avus. ;)

Like I said before I think its lemans unless its a non M5 colour, its just the lighting conditions that make it look lighter than lemans and the fact that it is a small part and close up pics doesnt help either.

Personally id say its Estoril! no way is it interlagos its way too light. could possibly be LeMans but needs a better pic.

Why not take it to BMW & ask them??? :)

Sounds like an idea, they might have colour swatches I can hold up to it :)

I'm pretty sure its LeMans blue, take a look at this stunning M5:

http://www.pfyc.com/m5/

This pic seems to show the same dark to light colour transition close up:

and here round the door frame:

It goes quite dark as the light reduces.

may not be neither as although its an M5 diffuser, it may have been fitted to a sport bumper as part of a quad exhaust upgrade.

Whiiiiiiiiiiiiiich takes us all the way back to the start... :p

Good idea about taking it in to a friendly dealer, 2 minutes with a bodyshop guy should get you an answer if the seller doesn't reply.
