What an arsearound, I detest changing cars. Basically mine is now 'on the way out' in my mind, I always get like this when I decide to sell a motor so it's now resigned to not being washed as often or loved as much, and the deal I was hoping I could push through on the new ride has had the arse fall out of it. :( Not sure whether I'm more annoyed or depressed, I just wanna get it sorted before a) I lose interest or b) the rush of soft-top buyers flood into the showrooms and shove all the potential discounts out the window.
Not sure why I felt the need to post, just to share the load and feel some love I guess. The next ride has to be special cos it's gonna have to last a while, and I don't want to end up going mod-crazy on it and then decide I never liked it anyway. Just seems like the dealers are all take and no give these days, my motor's a minter (03 leather spotless inside and out, but manual and no nav) and they're offering me like 17k on a trade-in for it against a 35-40k vert. Waaaaaah I gonna go cry in a corner until autumn, they'll want my stinkin money for a vert then the bastids..
As for the modding day, I'm gonna have to de-mod this weekend to sort the guys buying the mods off this one, so it'll just be a photosesh of us laying into the new one when we get it, but it should be a hell of a day with plenty of bits to do. Hehe I think I'm looking forward to that as much as the new ride. :p Will prolly need your slamming services aswell Kav m8, I'd hate for you to have a weekend with nothing to drop. ;)
Oh well, watch this space and cross some fingers pls guys.
good luck with it man [ok. Id love a drop ;)

Bro have you tried Altwood Windsor, go to see the sales team manager called Richard and say you are a friend of Teddy or Faisal (Fas) then I am sure he'll sort you out a good deal!
De-modding must be fun as well lol

You know, I thought of that, but I figured it'd be a bit cheeky. Was gonna ask you last Friday but I forgot when we got carried away with the cars. :D Went back to my old dealer today, who used to be a right money-grabber, and they were fantastic, offered me a grand more for mine and said they'd phone me every couple days regardless to update me on what they'd got. Was a nice surprise. The guys I've been talking to (who I've used for ages now and have been top dollar with this ride) really haven't seemed as keen. But I'm near Windsor tomorrow at a meeting, so one guess where I'm going after. ;)
And yeah, I got ya number, you got first dibs in it when I get it..

Talking about un-modding, my frantic night before hand over at Durgesh's, you never know how many mods you have until you start taking them off
New car sounds very special, can't wait to see it

Well after a few calls to get the ball rolling I went to meet Richard at Allwood today. What a top guy, seriously, feet on the floor and calls it plain and simple how it is. Totally my kind of bloke to deal with, the other lot just bought themselves a one way ticket to Byebyeville.
Now the dilemma.
The best deal we could hammer out was on a ride with one of my favourite colours, carbon black. You don't get better than a black vert as a year-round colour imo, just so versatile and mean. However. Grey interior . Like, who buys a balls-out sports car and puts grey inside it? :( What ya think guys? My first impression is no, Ted's was no earlier too, with the roof up it'd probably look ok but with it down I think it's gonna be too ordinary and I like my black leather.. [hmm Am I being too picky or am I right in thinking that it just ain't gonna look pimp enough?

Grey interior IMHO [thumbsdow
So so when brand new but when the leather gets a bit shiny, you'll be looking at grey plastic interior :(

Grey sucks dude. With a black vert why not go for a full on bright bling interior....

chaos, id hold out a little. On a black vert, as h4pry says, you want something that stands out. Red, Yellowy, Blue (laguna) or black! Have i missed anything guys?

No deffo wait until the right one comes along.
Chaos, you can tell straight away that you are not keen on the interior so it is no point going ahead you will only regret afterwards.
You can't beat a bright colour on black exterior IMHO  . There will be more out there. Have you considered travelling a little for it. When you are gonna be paying for it, a little mileage ain't gonna hurt for the right one.
Generally the cars up north tend to be a little bit cheaper.

Aye I've been looking all over but I've got a pretty narrow band for what I want and there's not too much around atm. I'm gonna sit it out though, the deal was a very good one but I want the right ride, no sense in buying something that's not 100%. Thx for the feedback guys .:)

WOOWOO NEW CAR ALERT :D
Got one of the first ones I'd spotted, Altwood in Windsor came up trumps in prising it away from the dealer it was at up north who didn't want to let it go and who'd put me off it last week. I got a fairly poor price for mine in p/x but the new car was a good price so it evened out in the end. Have to say, the guys in Windsor were the only ones who actually came across like they wanted to do some business and were keen to put themselves out. They called me at quarter to seven tonight to finalise the details - that's service. Thanks again for putting me onto them Ted/Fas, I owe you both a ride :p.
So now it's just the big wait and hopefully by this time next week I'm in the new ride. Quick question - Fas or Matt may be the best to answer - what do hard tops run at cost price? Anyone know? They're proposing pushing one through at cost to sweeten the deal for me, but I got no idea what cost is, so won't know if it actually is cost or not. I'm sure I've seen Matt or someone mention it before, so hopefully someone knows!
Gonna keep the suspense on what I finally went for going until I can get some pics (Teddy you gotta keep the secret bro lol), but rest assured it doesn't have grey leather.. ;)
Damn now I'm all :D :D :D , not gonna sleep much tonight!

Dunno, I'm gonna try to get a date today when I speak to them. They've got to trailer it down and give it the 124, so I doubt it'll be before the end of the week, but hopefully I can get it in time for some tinkering at the weekend. ;)
Wicked man. Glad it all worked out for you. So we should be seeing it in the flesh or at least some pics on the forum next week then. Sounds like its going to be really niiiiiiice.
