BMW has created a new entry-level model for its E92 3-series coupe with the introduction of a new four-cylinder engine range. The first model in the lineup will now be the 320i coupe powered by a 170hp (125kW) 2.0L gasoline unit. The revised four-banger comes with BMW’s Valvetronic technology and Bi-Vanos variable camshaft adjustment and produces peak power of 170hp (125kW) at 6,400rpm with peak torque of 200Nm coming in at 3,600rpm. When equipped with the six-speed manual, BMW claims it will reach 100km/h from rest in 8.1 seconds and tops out 230km/h. Average fuel consumption is said to be 6.3L per 100km.

170 BHP out of an NA 2.0:cool:
Current 120i: 148bhp 148lb torque, 37.7mpg 181g/km CO2
Facelifted 120i: 168bhp 155lb torque, 44.1mpg 152g/km CO2
now thats what u call progress, BMW has gone crazy on its diesel engines but they havent forgotten the petrol
