Sorry I have no pics with this thread as I havnt even got the car yet, im pre-modding:D

Just after some advice on what you think looks best on the kidney grille front for an estoril blue clubsport.

Options are:

Stock

Black

Carbon Fibre (Im already going with Teddy's carbon rear diffuser, front splitters and I have carbon badges so would carry on the theme)

Colour coded (Having the outside of the kidney's estoril blue and the slats themself black, ala bluebro and Mystic sport's cars)

thanks for your input, be interesting to here your views

Gloss black for me!

Did the same on my velvet blue and absolutely love it!

Given the carbon theme your planning on running, I would be tempted to go carbon fibre.:)

Enjoy the Clubsport btw  When do you get it?

Personally I prefer the standard chrome items, the kidney grille is the signature of a BMW so why hide it.

I rekon you should go for color coded

i have often thought about this too on my clubsport, but keep getting the same answer... to stick with the stock look.

depends who you ask?

i get this response when i ask the good lady, but what do they know about cars?

though give her due where its deserved first thing she said when she saw the clubsport was you could do with colour coding the splitters and rear diff haha

It takes a while but they get there in the end...in fact they start to notice the smallest details and form opinions :D

I vote for colour coded. I had the same quandary on my last car :)

Different model, but similar options to give an idea...

thanks for that scorcher. the colour coded ones just seem to flow better.

as much as i like the black i think looking at it you know its not OEM. where as colour coded is the smallest little touch that it could be from the factory??

Yep, colour coded makes the front far sleeker IMHO

the grilles or the car pete?

grilles think i am going to go colour coded but if its the car you were asking about in the end i just went with a bit of impulse buying from fairbairns in irvine. thanks for the help though, in the end i just thought spend a bit more and go with the dealer for peace of mind factor.

Black looks good on Estoril especially if you are keeping std black external trim! :D
Here's an early pic from mine a couple of years ago.

Colour coded can also be good, especially if you are colour coding front splitters & rear diffuser ?

got a carbon rear diffuser and planning on doing same with front splitters nickleback.

to be honest i think your car looks stunning, but wasnt sure on black kidneys with the colour on some of your pics, but that one does look good. maybe its the photos not doing it justice?

think i be ok to go colour coded or black with the carbon splitters etc, so i take my time and see what i think mate, cheers for the pic, it has helped, looks better than i first thought, so not sure again now haha

I've had all three options too... Standard, Colour Coded and Black. Colour coded does look really cool. But what I would do is go with black for a little while. If you get bored with it colour code it and it will transform the front end and won't cost you much at all. Then you will have tried all the options... ;) :D
