hi to all

thought you might like to see some initial pics of our biggest customer project to date ; a COMPLETE rebuild and modification of an old style M6 .

The customer danny has had his M6 for about 3 years and has decided to create a monster , money is pretty well no object here it seems , here is the spec so far ( which danny keeps adding to ) , most parts have now been paid for , we are awaiting delivery and installation :

- bare metal respray
- seam welding and gusset plates throughout the bare chassis for torsional rigidity
- full cage
- E46 M3 arches
-welded up sunroof ( for strength again )
- kerscher KRS 19 x 10 " wheels

all the above by CA

- one off coilover suspension ( Kormann USA )
- Electronic race harnesses ( has built in G - meter that tightens the belts on you during cornering and braking loads ) ( SCROTH )
- one off louvred carbon hood , full pre preg ( by CA )
- full carbon one off CSL style trunk lid ( by CA )
- Brembo big brakes
- M5 / 540 /ALPINA B10 hybrid one off engine , supercharged , built to take 750 bhp , we are aiming for 600 -650 to have a bulit in safety margin ; this engine being a joint venture between CA and our "secret" Swedish engine builder . We will be calling in specialist help at various stages during this project as needed.

The above is the basic spec so far , too much detail to list it all , but we will keep you up on things as it progresses .

That just all sounds unreal. That really will be a monster when its finished. And to top it all,it will be a true one off.

Yeah, I know mate but its a serious amount of wedge for OE ones (as I need to replace the interior switch, and get the ECU flashed), and if I go down the replica route I won't be 100% happy.
Think I am gonna have to start saving.

Actually its a valid question Kav,I see Dan logging in now and again but not posting. We moved that car,in that condition from Derby area to the West Country iirc.Must be a couple of years ago since I saw him as well,he collected a set of wheels from my house for his M3

Hi All:) .

Am still around, and do still check in to see whats going on.

Over the past couple of years I have been busy starting a family and using my money to invest in property, so the car had to be on hold. Add to that that I totalled more than 12 points earlier in the year and got an 18 month ban:( . I was going quite fast:o ).

So car is on hold till end of the year.

Everything has been fitted, but the steering has been a bit of an issue. He (fritz bits) has tried two different rack and pinion setups, but no luck. So now we will be going with an e39 M5 rack instead.

Hoping to go testing in it early next year though, and as soon as I have any news I will post up an update.

Thanks

Dan

P.S. There is a video of the engine on CA's website of the engine being bench tested.

Damn, that must suck.

If I lost my license for 18 months it would be like getting all four limbs chopped off, seriously. I NEED to drive!
