hi guys. have an o4 plater 325ci coupe e46 with manual fold mirrors with the facelift ribbon connectors. have been offered a set of mirrrors off an 06 coupe with folding feature. imagine as its an o6 plate then the connectors would be ribbon but would it be a straight swpa over. basically will the mirrors fold automatically if a switch is added. not sure myself. help if you can.

okay, but the ones i have at the moment are manual so how will the new ones fold. is there a seperate wire which goes to connect to the folding switch on the drivers arm rest????
If you do a search, you should find some relevant info on this. I know when I changed mine on my previous 328 that the wiring would be ok as long has you had the electric memory seats (or a certain fuse was present in the fuse holder, but I can't remember which one). If you have the electric seats then it should just be a case of adding the new switch and the mirrors.

if your car has elect seats/reverse tilt mirrors then u should be ok (check fuse 57 or something). if u have manual mirrors, then the conversion can be done but v expensive/complicated.

yeh mines got aelectric seats and reverse tilt mirrors so IM guessing I'd just need to buy the updated mirrors and it should be pretty straightforward?

Yep. I did the same conversion on my 2000 328ci. Just need the mirrors and a new mirror switch with the autofold button on it.
