Hi Guys,
Could anyone recommend a retailer who sells the german style number plates?
I believe you get a choice of the type of badges in the middle of the letters.
Which ones would be correct for a BMW?
Cheers,
Nick Avis.

Dunno if its because I lived in Germany for so long but they look tacky to me, you don't even get yellow plates there.

You don't get yellow plates there no but by making them yellow it brings them closer in line with english laws. Although it is not the same font as english plates I have lots of friends with these on their cars with no trouble whatsoever, police just think they're foreign cars... with steering wheels on the right  lol
Some have said they have no issue with them because they're accepted in the EU. I think it's a bit of a grey area to many police officers so they're reluctant to pull people up on them

I dont see anything wrong with these plates, and I dont think I'd be pulling someone over just because of a German style plate
But then again I let someone off for using a phone whilst driving the other day(after it was £60 and 3 points), because of the circumstances, which probably not many other coppers I can think of would even listen ;) .
Its all down to the officer

yeah its all depending on which cop it is

someone i know got 3 points and £60 fine a couple of nights back for taking his bluetooth headset off while slowing down to park outside his flat
copper said its classed as telecommunications device and he touched it so he got done
some coppers take things way to serious
