They did a test on a Scooby in Taiwan for a mag 2.5 years ago and VTTR outperformed Brembo and AP. Don't know about Stoptech though.
Have you got anymore details on that test?

Lee these literally rip your piles from your ring under heavy braking. When my rears get put on, Ill have 24 pistons slowing my heavy little vert down :D
Come out with me and we will experiment

Hey Teddy!
Have they got my name on? are they set for a colchester delivery in the near future? :)

People here really need to know that more pistons don't mean more stopping power. Nearly all the performance brakes can easily lock up your wheels, what I am more interested in is weight, feel and balance. Oh and how they look are important as well of course.

True. But by the same token more pistons = bigger pads = more surface area in contact with the disc = less thermal bleed = more consistent and reliable braking when you need it most. Which indirectly means better stopping power... ;)
Feel and balance are just as important as anything else IMO too, you drive much smoother when the car's components are set to your own personal style, but it's also worth bearing in mind that even the smallest change of pad compound can drastically change the behaviour of the brakes and the feel of the pedal, so the whole opinion this is probably just as much suck-it-and-see as anything else really. One man's quick pedal response is another man's grabby pad compound, etc.
But you hit the nail on the head at the end dude - unless you're going to track it hard, then 'fashion before function'. ;)

ah yes :) they came earlier than expected They'll be there tomorrow I think already left with courier this afternoon.
If the rears don't come before I leave UK, they'll have to be sent out after I get back.

was this compared to brembo 4 pots and ap racing 6pots?
Would be a cool idea to get a back to back brake test results later in the summer at somewhere like brunters.. :)

I think so, as the test was done according to the similarily priced kits but you cant beat VTTR's value for money and performance why pay more money for a 4 pot while you can have a better performing big big 6 pot? Forged caliper and aluminium centre hub much lighter than Brembo's cast hubs
What are the specs on the VTTR 6pot kit for the Scooby and how much do they retail for? Is there a rear kit available? Again specs and price please.
