Fix these headlights [Archive]

I've had this problem with my Umnitzer46 Projector's ever since I got them about 6 months ago. They work fine, but when on only 1 click the rings come on but the corner indicators also come on. When I click twice the xenon's come on with the rings and the indicators go out.

I'm thinking of blacking out the corner bulbs and putting them in the bonnet and then splicing into the side indicator wires, run them through to the fronts and use these for the front indicators.

Anyone know if this will work...............

lost me but: 'They work fine, but when on only 1 click the rings come on but the corner indicators also come on.' This basically means that the car thinks you have no sidelights so as a safety feature it uses your indicators.

That's right, I think the guy who wired them up has done it wrong! With that said, it's got to be cheaper to do this then have them uninstalled and then reinstalled by someone who knows what he's doing.

can you just recconect your sidelights and have the ccfl's splice the connections?

The projector 46's are no way plug and play for UK cars as umnitza like you to believe. You will need to put the side lights back in and wire the dde's up with them. In the states they are mostly wireing them up to the fog light switch which is no good here.

i'll be at the south mimms on sunday, maybe you can check out my projector46. mine is working fine except one ring which failed a week ago, waiting for replacment rings.
my bulb and ballast was faulty after a few weeks when i got them last year, but also got replacements sent FOC.
