Newbie Servicing Question

Hello All

Current mileage is 21070, and OBC says next service is in 4850 miles.(at 25920 Miles)

Last service in the book (oil change) was at 13,500 miles.

Is this right as I thought the OBC would have said the next service would be due at 28,500 miles (13,500 + 15,000 miles)

So hence should it say next service due in 7400(to make it 15000 miles since the last service) miles instead of in 4850 miles?

Well it says the last service was done at 13500 in the service book, so as far as I know it should next be at 28500?

However, OBC says its due in 4850 or so miles at 25900 miles

So not that early by the looks of it?

I'm getting worried now.......

don't service countdown adjust marginally by how/how often you drive? why don't u take your car key into a dealership and get the service data read off just to be sure?

I think I will have to do that. Frustrating tho as I want to do it asap but still cant drive it (no paperwork):mad:

It will vary depending upon how much / how hard you drive the car. It is called variable servicing. As Mitsu has said, it will keep constantly adjusting as you drive the car. The nest service may still be at about 28K'ish, but then it may go the other way too.

the more motorway miles you drive the more decrease in the serivce intervals , I get 17k-20k KM and its suppose to be 25k KMs because allot of my driving is done on the motorway, if you drive in town allot it will be closer to 25K KM (15K miles) so there is nothing wrong it will just adjust as you drive it .
