Only had a 30 min, 20 mile play in it so far, but I am very, very impressed. It's a 2002 745 SE with lots of extras, in Sapphire Black with beige Nasca leather.
A few quick pics - more info once I've had a good fiddle with the knobs after I get home from work :)

This is a bit scary...

...I'm dreading pressing it instead of the sunroof switch :o
The mods are already building up in my garage, so it won't look like this for long

Not keen on the beige dash/steering wheel but other than that:cool:
I hit the button once on nothing happened:confused:
Only thing that i didnt like was the shitty phone that looks like a brick. Youd expect something a little more stylish from a 60k car.
Cant wait to see the mods.

Yeah - the phone is crap. But it doesn't have to be seen!

Absolutely stunning. Takes me back to two years ago. Brand new 730i in that combo with a £20k discount off list. SOOOO tempting.
What's the brick phone thing? from what I remember, you insert the sim card and the "phone" was just a keypad which popped out, just under the stereo.
Refrigerated centre armrest was the best though :D

Sunday is modding day!
The phone is hidden in a drawer below the single cd slot, and that's where the little pop up SIM fella lives too.

congrats, I want a new car too now.
...I'm dreading pressing it instead of the sunroof switch :o
Dont worry about pressing that switch, its not actually a switch, you press it, it flips down and there is a button behind it.
Glad you got the black
Enjoy and its going to take u ages to figure out what all those button do!!

Had a good old play in tonight - so many buttons!
Discovered the rear seats are electrically adjustable, heated and have aircon like the front ones :) - Carrie is very happy.
It's a totally different drive to the E38 - have to get used to the extra width, which is noticeable when parallel parking. So will be keeping the current wheels until I get more practice.
Having six gears rather than four makes for a smoother drive, and being able to swap between Sport, Manual and Drive via a button on the steering wheel is nifty. Gear selector on the steering column isn't natural to me at the mo, but will be soon I'm sure.
Dynamic Drive very cleverly removes most of the bodyroll, and it's great being able to adjust the ride electronically with the EDC-K. (choice of Comfort when the family will be on board or Sport when it's just me!)
iDrive is a piece of cake to use - don't know what all the complaints are about. It's just like using an iPod (despite being based on Windows)
I've never heard such clarity from an OEM ICE system - Logic7 gives 420w amazing 3D staging from 9 speakers.
It's got a powered bootlid, which can be opened and closed from the remote, as I discovered to my dismay whilst waiting in the queue in the chippy - oops!
Driver's seat is a little too adjustable - I can't get comfy in it quite yet.
Really tasty interior lighting - lovely orange washes from a hidden source in each door (reminds me of Odeon cinema neons) and excellent puddle lights on the exterior door handles.
That's all I can think of for now! Off to have another sit in it :D

this is my Cousins neighbor E66 760Li , its actually a pre facelift and he had an accidant and changed the front and rear to be a facelift car :D . Those wheels are one of the best wheels on the E65/66 . Not sure how the look on a prefaclift though.
Lol
And Do You Like My New Avatar?;)
How can anyone miss it...LOL. Personally I'd like to see the full size version....:p :D
Really, really chuffed for ya Dan. Great car and colour combo. Can't wait to see the mods after Sunday...

Dan what did you do with your E38?
Part-exed it - got a decent price, and none of the hassle. Plus it had been playing up since before Christmas, so didn't want to pass that on to a member of any of the forums I frequent :)

Modding day in Monday now - have been told I'm taking the family to the seaside on Sunday instead :o
No major additions as of yet! Still waiting for them from Germany, and next month's wages to get them painted and fitted
