Is it possible to remove the 155mph govenor without having a remap, and does anyone know anyone who can do this?
Dont really want a remap as the car is running perfectly well, and im not all to sure the car is standard at the minute. Next weeks Dyno should tell.:)

Yeah, BMW will do it, but I think the ECU needs sent back to Germany - so nae car for a week or so apparently. :(

As said BMW offer this service if you have a racing license, although I reckon you could talk them into it easy enough. Although isn't it true that the limiter only works in 6th gear anyway? Pass 155mph in 5th and then change up. Don't know if it's true or not, the internet does lie sometimes!!

Roy can get the limiter removed without having it mapped.
My regular M3 has had it removed, along with the static rev limiter that makes it awkward to dyno.

Me and Raj both tried the 5th gear redline thing and i didnt work, speedo goes past 170 but then just stops. Bmw can only put the limiter to 175mph not remove it altogether.

Yup, Andy and I, saw 175 on the csl in germany. I thought mine was limited... so are you saying BMW can't make it go past this.
I have heard, people get 187mph from the CSL... so this must be after market software?

PS. I know Thoney can do it Lee.

Yeah mine went to 170-175 then stops dead, doesnt run out of steam just stops accelerating even if i take it to 165mph in 5th.
Bmw can take the limiter upto 175mph but they wont remove it (they probably could though). Yes aftermarket removes it altogether at the same time of a remap, but i dont want to remap, just remove the limiter.
