I came across this image just now and I had absolutely no idea this system ever existed! Apparently it's on very early povery spec E46s. Even all 1997 onwards E36s were given digital CC/AC as standard!

Its on later cars also, i've seen a 2003 facelift 316 with that.

This car had nothing and I mean nothing on it even things like reading lights inside wernt fitted!!

That is for the non SE spec cars and the ES models. I think adood has this is in his cab.

I've got the manual controls but its not like that I think mine is digital , the one vert posted seems to mechanical or something

having that doesn't mean you don't have AC , it just means that its the not the Auto control option , Nobody would buy a car in Saudi if it didn't have air conditioning lol

No mine doesnt have AC at all, theres no aircon pump.
