Hunt for the Black Z4 3.0 is on...

Guys,

I'm needing some help... I'm on a mission now to find a Black Z4 3.0 Manual within the next week or so.

I've been looking on the bmw site as well as on autotrader, but am finding it hard to find a car for around £23/24k.

Does anyone know about someone selling a z4 that I might like??

Any suggestions would be most useful, and its always best to get more than one pair of eyes searching!

If you insist on getting one of these hairdressers cars ;) make sure you get one with Sat navi and stuff, there is no way of effectivly retro fitting one and you dont want a flipout one in a soft top.

Even if it is £2k more it is worth it, it will save you money in the long run.

I still think for £2k+ insurance there are better cars, which are less common.

Ed, I know the navi's worth it, but the car's with navi are currently going for no less than about £27.5k for a relatively low mileage one...

To be honest, the budget's strict and won't stretch that far!

The M Coupe does not have enough headroom for people with bad hair, and to be honest your days of visiting the hairdressers are numbered mate. [crackmeup

The Z4 is a hairdressers car and they have not realised that they need to make a coupe version yet, it took Porsche 8 years to work out that the Boxster was one too, and only now they make the Cayman.

f this is what happens to the hardcore 318 saloon owners then i might as well step out in front of a bus..............

The Z4's like most vert BM's look freakin awesome with the hardtops on, and has a load of style potential but its still a vert... Black with red leather would be nice, pity about the cleaning involved, if only they made a black paint that didnt attract the mud....

hehe, that car is at my local dealer, ive seen it in the flesh, nice looking motor, not keen on the Alpinas tho! my dealer has 5 M3s in, Estoril Vert/black, RubyRed/black/red, SilverGrey/Cinnamon, PY/Kiwi. They have some realy nice cars, the Estoril is FULLY loaded, with hardtop and alpina spoiler, 37k for a 53 plate isnt bad!! :cool:

Its beautiful in the flesh and the hardtop compliments it really well... Took it for a good half hour drive too... its a damn quick car!

I made my 318 do 0-60's in 8.65 secs continuously...

Thats a drop of 9.3-8.65 = 0.65 secs from BMW's quotes times...

So on my Z4... no spare tyre :)

Should be able to do 0-60 in about 5.4-5.5 secs.... [cool

I've learnt my lesson about sound pipes.

They're just TOO loud... and after your experience on the Finchley Rd I think that says it all ;)

Thinking of maybe Eisenmann Race or Alpina... but i'm sure the Alpina one will cost a bomb...

I also had a think about this... Keep the stock back box and just install the Eisenmann sound pipes... how do u think that would be???

I had the Hi-Flow pipes when I had my little run-in on Finchley Road. I've always run the Eisenmann with sound pipes since the day I bought it.

Trust me dude, with the roof down, you want to hear that exhaust ;) Stock just doesn't cut the mustard!
