Anyone got any links to a step by step on how to remove the rear bumper?? I've found some stuff on the web but nothing very descriptive on how to get the bolts out!

Yeah, it tells me where to get to the bolts, but not how to get them out - I've looked earlier on and cant for the life of me figure out how they come out!

Will see if I can find anything better buried in the bookmarks. ;)

Wow, E39 ghostland. Not got much in my bookmarks on them TBH and a quick search round the net turned up 3 leaves and an old kettle. :(

Maybe Teddy or Roy can help? Or perhaps one of the guys with custom rear diffusers on took their bumpers off themselves and know the knack? Shawn has one, not sure who else, Zarnd maybe?

its not as straight forward as the front bumper, taking out the T50 bolts and sliding forward.
Rear one requires you to undo the bolts holding the 2 bumper shock absorbers from inside the boot, take away the carpet etc, 3 x 10mm bolts i believe, you also need to undo the bolts from the rear wheel arch liners and then slide the whole bumper (2man task) backwards.
hope this helps.
