Hi people,

I was wondering if you could help me out. I have a 316 saloon, (1.8) amd am looking at exhaust options. I only have the ACS tip at the moment. My budget would be about 200-250 quid.

Do you guys suggest a full system or just the back box? I would like a twin pipe exit, similar to that of the 330 - please can you give me ideas, manufacturer, what type of system etc! I want it slightly louder than stock but not over-powering.

Thanks very much.

For your budget i would suggest you'll only be able to get a cat-back not a full system. Supersprint have quite a good reputation but havent got one personally. Have a chat with Teddy and im sure he'll point you in the right direction!

if you can stretch the budget a big you can go for the Eisenmann exhaust (from 392 + discount for E36 and 423 + discount for E46 models).

you really get what you pay for when it comes to buying exhaust systems. :)

Hey Teddy I wouldnt mind a Eisenmann back box for my 328. How much is the discount? (pm might be easier!)

Teddy how loud is the quietest Eisenmann? Have a scorpion at the minute (was on the car when i bought it) which is driving me crazy!!

Do they do a tailpipe design like this?

as i like the look how it is, rather than the twin pipes.

Also cost for an e36 328 Coupe?

If people are on a low budget then why not go for a powerflow. People say they are shit exhausts but if you have a decent dealer they will often order higher grade Stainless steel and different diameter pipework.

Thanks for all the replies. I will look into my options. I dont think i can justify spending over 400 quid on an exhaust for my 316, maybe if i had something a bit nicer but i'll look around.

Scholesy with Eisenmann you can choose the sound level: factory, sport, or race (loudest) and yes you can choose tip design also as they are all custom made to order

Try LongLife Exhaust in Leeds, they are pretty reasonable. Got mine done there - £550 inc VAT

They even repaired a puncture while I was there FREE ... !!!
