Hi,
Ive bid on these wheels:
EBAY (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7962323686&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT)
But just realised (to be honest, im sure description has changed) they come with NO tyres...
Ive emailed the guy to retract my bid, but heard nothing back.
I cant retract since there is less than 12 hours left
Anything you suggest apart from not paying?
Or I could buy and then get tyres? Sets are going for 585 with tyres and spaces elsewhere...so ideally id want to pay no more than 270 for tyres
Thanks
Jamie

Doubt you'd get tyres for less than £270.

at that price, it's still a bargain. I would sell them on if you don't want them.
Or, you could just hope someone outbids you at the last minute which is a common thing to happen

Its simple,
Speak to the seller, and offer to pay his listing fees....
Additionally, if he whinges too much, just offer to pay the difference between your bid and the one below yours... as he has the option to then offer it as a second chance bid to the bidder below you.
Worse comes to the worst, just buy them and sell them on, stick some part worns on if you have to.. could even make a few bucks... - they look okay...

320 for a set of 18s bargain!
dude that is a bargain!!!!!! I payed £400 new and i thought that was cheeeeeeeeap.
As for tyres if your your looking for part worn can easily get them in your budget. Looking at around £150ish for 4... thats 255/35's and 225/40's
As for new tyres your only option is budget new tyres (ie not no major brands) then your looking at around £350 for the 4 (also thats 255/35's and 225/40's). Give me a shout and ill confirm prices for you. Didnt want to bug dad since hes still fuming over my report [bang.

Thanks for all your replies guys
Bizzare thing is, he has an identical set up WITH tyres which sold for 510 plus 19 p+p (bargain i know!!) - however im sure i bid on the same, i.e. with tyres
Anyway, time has passed and ive won them, £310 in the end. Checked out some tyres places and can get Nankang 225/40/18 for £276 inc p+p. Affif - can you beat this price?
I like the suggestion on offerin to pay listing fees etc - thats a good one
Ive emailed him (3 times now) to say either a) offer me them at the same price other auction went for £510 with nankang tyres as above or b) i'll just wont pay ( but will offer to pay listing fees)
Can be fairer than that
OR - i coould just keep and buy tyres and have a new set of rims on my car which I wanted
Thanks for quick replies!!
Jamie
well new tyres aint stocked so ordered in .... uncle said doesnt have nankang but the cheapest for new 225 all round instead of 255/225 setup still isnt that cheap.....sorry.
Also try what whizzkid said about offering to pay the tenner difference between you and guy in second place.

Rochford tyres...same alloys + pirellis + bolts + badges + balanced + postage = 585 all in.....I would offer the seller to pay for his listing fee and call it quits. U drive a nice/expensive car, shame to put cheap tyres.
