I recentely got a new front wing coz of damage due to antic's in the snow! The guy must have mopped the whole car afterwards, coz in the sunshine or under some street lights, you can see mop marks, kind of shimmers in the sun like someone hasn't wiped the polish off properly or something.

I've taken it back to him and he re-did it but still some remain.
Any ideas how to get rid of these? I've had it washed several times since and polished/waxed it but still the same. [bang

Maybe it needs westside's touch :D

The pain job was one of the best I've seen! [cool
Mop = after the paint's flattened - it's mopped (machine polished using compound etc!).

ahh i get it now . If its stubborn compound that could be why its not coming out :). I remember i had compound on my door handles after it was resprayed and it took the guys some serious elbow grease and products to get it out.
Easy way to tell if its compound i think would be to see if it goes away as you clean it but comes back if you get what i mean. I remember i used to clean it and it would be cool for a while till it was totally dry agian then it would show :(.

Although thinking about it compound usually VERY noticable on paint work cos its like white powder [hmm. It was just giving me problems on the black plastic ......im outta ideas [bang .

I would try varying grades of liquid compound and rub like a mofo. I find paste compounds are too coarse. I've got 3 diff grades of it so if u're desperate, pop down to sunny surrey:0)

Have you had that car hand washed at all recently?

ZYMOL HD-Cleanse should clear them... http://www.vertar.com

Follow it up with a decent wax....
