well guys i am finally done with my car...

well almost done...
i finished with my engine mods on it and now there some litlle things left to do...maybe lose some weight and a new diff maybe a 3.90...

this a photo from the dyno
the red line is the new power and the blue is the stock M...
the power is in kw and it is in the wheels....multiply it by 1.3636 and you have 316 and 285...
both the readings is uncorrected....use the correction factor for temp...and you have 322 and 290...

and a vid racing a stock M....
we are passing in front of the camera with about 240km/h..150mph...

Nick that must have been very late at night to have found a stretch of road in Athens with virtually no traffic on  .I used to drive to Greece with an artic and stopped at Harrys Truck stop about 17 kms outside of Athens.Traffic wise it was always bumper to bumper .The road from Patras to Athens can be frightening and deadly.Good thing about Harrys Truck stop was his directions,he knew everywhere ;) ,still got the T-shirt somewhere ;)

Looks a bit close on that video with the car in the outside lane! Looked about a foot from his arse!

thanks gents...

the road is a new road to athens wich conects everything from round and round to the new huge airport...

actually that was about 11:30 at night so there was still some traffic...

roy yes the intake is on the car offcourse and the new thing is the headers and the cams...in the photo (that i am now posting... ) check the dyno plot...
the cams only gave me about 4 wheel hp at the peak BUT they gave a full 17hp at the wheels from 6k to 7,5k rpm they kick a bit my entire scale up and they improve my torque in the entire band!!!!!
i did not believe at first at all!!!!
here is the pic from the dyno....and some of the car also they are crappy but as soon as i finish with my exterior mods ( is mr roy reading this!!! :) ) i will get some new and better ones...

here is one of the dyno run...

and here is an in car from the other M...

well i was cheatting on the last 2 runs cause the guy who is recording this weights 120kg!!!thats almost 240pounds....:D :D

So if i were to get a full exhaust/ECU upgrade then i should in effect be putting simular figures down with the CSL.

Congrats Nick !

I love the fact you kept it NA, and you got a good power figure too ! !

It must have been a hard process trying to extract the ponies from the car

worth it though ! just to feel that extra surge towards the redline and the fact it got there quicker due to the torque ! !

If only i could view your car @ a meet !!!

once again bravo on a stunning car !

Raj

ps : more pics of your beauty !

I appreciate the power figures stated are at the wheels, but what power does this equate to at the engine?

the guy that is "in charge" for my ecu tunning has almost every car mapped in his pc...he also has the serial numbers for the csl dme.....!!!
i was talking for the beast one day and told me that he tried once to remap it and the only thing he got for a customer of his was just some "fine tunning" wich means something like 6-7hp from the ecu alone...
and his dyno dont lie at all my friend....
so adding another 5-7whp from exaust ( basicaly headers....) i think you reach your goal....:D :D
and i can start crying once more....:( :(

there are 2 stories here...

1) the sad one...the guy that tunes the ecu uses a roro test dyno that only measure hp at the wheels...the company ( roto test ) are saying that the power loss from the flywheel to the wheels is only 9%!!!
so this means 322+11% ( reverse presentage ) = 357,5 at the flywheel....

2) the happy one...generally is thought that the car has a power loss of 15% from the flywheel to the wheel..so 322+17%( reverse presentage ) =376.74hp...

i will keep the 1st storry allthough i would love the second, i dont think that the car IS almost 380bhp....:( :(

ok dont get upset!!!!:D :D

so if what you are saying is true i must be around 378-386 flywheel hp...!!!

maybe i should be a happy men after all!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D
