right a funny thing happened to me on christmas day...maybe im just being odd...but my friends are saying stuff to scare me!...let me know what ya reckon!...ok picture the scene....(sorry for wasting 5 mins of your life reading this!)

Im in bleeding birmingham with the M3, i park up on the side of the road while dad and my little bro go and get something from a shop.
About 10 mins later a blue L regd vauxhall corsa with said "individual":rolleyes: inside slows down and comes to a stop about 1/5 a meter infront of me. He's blocking the road now at this point and stays infront of me for about 5 mins...god knows what he was doing as i wasnt paying much attention to him.
He now reverses and sits behind me for about 10 mins ...again blocking the road forcing everyone around him. Now this is where it gets a bit odd...he pulls up along side me..and gets me to wind my window down, rather gingerly i pull my window down just a tiny bit...i thought he was going to ask for directions or something, but i noticed he had a tomtom in his car. Anyway he comes out i want to buy your car! ...i say its not for sale, he then asks how much did you pay....and i said id forgotten..lol, where do u you live, where did you buy it from etc etc ..this went on for a few seconds with more oddball questions that i evaded.....eventually i got fed up..and wound my window up..and the dude drives off...

am i just freaking out for no reason...am i turning into a nancy boy without realising...or was that a sign...??

nah ur right dude i would have been a lil confused and worried at this point aswell... i would have been expecting a van 2 appear alonside the corsa any second =S not that we get alot of that in scotland but when i worked downsouth 3 colleages had been jacked 1 only got away with his laptop on his passenger seat 1 had his golf stole and the other his M5 he only had for 3 weeks :O all at traffic lights...

Similar things have happened to me now and again, but it's usually just people yelling 'nice car mate' through the window once they've gfinished oggling. That's all cool. Your guy sounded like he wanted a few too many details, and it's unlikely (although still possible) that someone in a 10+ year old Corsa would be buying a relatively recent M3. No need to sweat on it though, you did exactly what I would have done, no info means no issue. :)

Have to agree with ya about Brum. I am a Brummie born and bred and it is a great place to live. There are some very dodgy areas but then you will get that anywhere.

Sorry about the slang people.

Well put it this way, comapred to the areas I used to hang out in like slough, maidenhead, southall, birmingham for me was pretty dangerous in comparison, on more than one occassion I saw a gun pulled out on someone in a nightclub, the worst was in the Works nightclub on broadstreet cause there, the bouncers and the locals all know eachother, so they basically get in with whatever.

I luckly never had the experience of having one pulled out on me, I did have a front row seat though for sum guy gettin smacked in the face with the back of a gun by a bouncer and also I saw DJ Shorty Blitz get knocked the F out by sum locals, but luckly managed to get to know some locals from spark brook and alum rock while i was studying who kept an eye out for me when i was out and about. (being that birmingham aint my home town its always good to make friends like that lol)

Birmingham is ood, fond memories of uni but i dangerous compared to London i rekon.

All places have their good parts and bad, believe me, Slough ain't a rose garden, but it's home and it's fun. I used to make some pocket money when I was studying in Leicester being a bouncer at some of the nightclubs, used to work for R.O.A.R (if you go to Asian gigs, you'll know them as all the flyers will have "ROAR on the door") and we used to have all kinds of trouble (asian men and alcohol don't mix!). I've had guns pulled and stuff and this was in Leicester which was meant to be one of the nicest places in the Midlands (back then of course), but now you get that crap everywhere, Slough on a Friday night is like Beirut in the 80's, same as 100 places.

But Brum is still a dump :p (awaits knock on the door by the black country mafia)

one thing which they do in bham is a lot of street racing. on sat nights we used to head down to this duel carriage way behind uni and everyone used to be parked up along it, a good 200+ cars and watch others race along it, you get all types of cars theres, bemmers, evo's, everything, even saw some ferraris, and lambos there once. The best race i saw though was a por:) sche being chased bumper to bumper by a tricked out pulsa. (i hate nissans but credit where credits due, this thing was keepin up like no mans business).

May be good to organise for a meet there and let bavaria's finest take over lol.:)
