I am thinking of getting sum new rims for my e46 coupe. I ideally would like to get a set of rims which have a deep dish and are powdercoated black. HRE and DPE wheels were likely candidates but the prices are a bit out of reach.

However I have recently found I-Forged rims which look identical to HRE and DPE wheels. I was thinking about ordering a set as they seem a bit more affordble comapred to the HRE and DPE rims, but have concerns about the quality - I have heard that there are quality and customer service problems with I-forged rims. Could anyone post any info they have about I-forged rims or their experiences with I-forged rims if any.

Also could anyone suggest possible places I could look to get a set of rims which are deep dish and powdercoated with black centre pieces? I have a budget of up to £2k.

I was thinking about getting Hamman rims and having them powdercoated black int he centre with chrome dish finish. Good idea? Is the chrome lip/dish an option or standard?

Thanks for any help in advance

On the I-Forged front a few members on here have previously owned a set so should be along to let you know. Also the Black centers with chrome lip has been tried and tested and does look good on the right wheels/car!

Also welcome to the forum :).

Hi, Thanks for the replies. Yep looks like everyone is on the ball when it comes to these sorts of questions ere.

Very keen of the thought of the Hamann HM2 rims - what is everyones opinions?

Also who would be the people to speak to about the powdercoating? any contact and experience would be appreciated

Those rims in the pic on the cab look really nice! My GF got in touch with Teddy to get a few bits for my car as a pressent so may get in touch with him also - thanks :)

Welcome to the forum. As afif mentioned, my HRE's are up for sale for the right price so if you want to talk, let's talk :)

iforged are REALLY nice rims, not heard of any supply issues, but these things change all the time. The price point is almost similar to DPE and HRE I've never thought of iforged as a cheaper alternative.

Quality of iforged are awesome. really light, but never forget, they're designed for america so the polished lip will need polishing every few days to stay in top condition

Welcome to the forum man,

Firstly post up pics of your ride man lol

We are pretty clued up about Bmw stuff on the forum so ask any questions, I personally think i forged rims are HOT and i should be getting a set in the summer due to the condition on the roads at the moment best to stick with oem, www.mstyle.co.uk stock iforged wheels and thats where ill bet getting a set but if you want hre rims you should go for fas's rims trust me in person they look hott and are also the onli set in the UK

I had Iforged Senekas on my last car. Quality is spot on, countless track days with no damage whatsoever. Cant comment on customer relations though. I have heard some bad things on E46fanatics but theres always somebody you cant keep happy.

Welcome aboard. Would be good to see some pics of the ride. As has benn said already, Iforged are a good make and there should be no issues. If you can come to some agreement with Fas then that would be the best route as both of you would be happy then...
