Dude. That paint alone cost over $30k!

He's got something like 13inch rear tyres or something insane, 2 x 13 inch screens in the trunk, 4 additional tv screens. Adding a roll cage and BBK and it's STILL not finished!

Dude he would like to tell everyone that... but I already know the makers of the Paint found all this out about 6 months back, and it will cost me around 3k for enought paint for the whole car.

I know the supplier. Italian company right?

Even if it wasn't $30k you can bet that the labour alone would have at least be $5-$10k! Full engine out, bare metal strip down

Yup that's the one!!!!

http://www.color-dec.it

Inc the paint and Labour I think around £8k.

Ok lets say:

2nd Hand M3 Coupe = 26,000
Paint work (Paint and Labour) = 8,000
Supercharger install = 14,000
Body Kit = 6,000
HRE's = 5,000

= 59K... for the Best M3 in the world !!!!

OK your are right... way too much money.

I keep looking at his car, how sick does it look.

It looks like nothing else out there, those ferrari's just look crap and dull.

Looks like it came from outer space or something. How about I just keep my car and paint it that colour!!!

Just buy a used 355 mate, rims, exhaust and a new paint job.

Then add and SC and it would be tight!!!

Sorry guys, can't share your enthusiasm. I think its obviously grotesquely American and looks totally pish.

I personally think the E46 3 series M3 and Sport packaged 320/325/330ci's are one of the best all round car designs ever produced, combining a classic look with a more agressive edge where required.

I'm all for personalising you car through tasteful mods and I could understand it if the car was to demonstrate his own businesses tuning/bodywork capability.

Sorry, perhaps I'm just not BLING enough....

Dude, you do relise that the first people to use that paint job was BMW themself.

And the kit is the BMW GTR Kit... all "Official" stuff in a way.

I love it.

i saw a jaguar concept car in that paint scheme it was meant to be showing off its all aluminum body or sumthin :)

That kit is going to weigh the car down a lot. Supercharger is a must or else it may even be slower than a 330! :o

Not very keen on that paint job but I agree, it's the ultimate head turner ;)

I've got my next project in mind after the S/C.......wide rear conversion! Not a lot, maybe just 10-15mm more. All I need is someone willing to extend my arches and maybe flare the sides of the rear bumper slightly. Just enough to accomodate an M3 rear Type 3/or E39 rear wheels. I supposed Dantec will be the guys to contact. It'll look SICK! :D

Nick, your project sounds awesome. BUT, PLEASE stay away from Dantec, their custom work is really bad.

Remember bimmerflex? He had a dantec scoop in his bonnet, up close, the work was terrible. Remember the 540 at HIN? Remember how bad the paintwork on the boot and bonnet was? Dantec's work. I've seen 2 other dantec convertibles. Same shit. Dantec will say they can do the work, but the quality is crap.

Speak to my boys at Bodytechnics, if they won't do it, they will know people who have the expertise to do so.

Why not flare the front and go for a custom widebody. I'm just picturing it, it'll look too arse-heavy if just the rear is done

Bodytechnics sounds like a good port of call :) ....I think just a little rear flare will do the trick, I don't want to overdo it, but I can already envisage the subtle aggression :D

You need perspex. Glass will fracture in that heat. Roy did a few to cover his Active Autowerk induction some time a go, I'll ask him when I see him next week for my new sound pipes.

So that you could see the Induction kit from the outside???

Or just when you lifted the bonnet??

Just when you lift the bonnet, straight cut 3mm sheet (I've seen it). Intergrating perspex/glass onto the bonnet is not an easy task as the section needs to be moulded to suit the contour of the bonnet.
