I have to say the hardtop was a good buy, gave the car a different look and what with the sh%@y British weather, all that snow and stuff.

But looks like its time to get the hardtop off now and its cruise time [cool

Probably pi$$ down next week [crackmeup

Anyone storing the hardtop in a different way apart from the BMW hardtop stand?

Yes mate,i got one of my mates to make up a electric hoist, with two window
suckers on top & they do not mark the ( paint work ). So now i just have to put on my suckers ;) press the button up goes the hard top & i drive out, then lower the hard top down to the floor shut the door & drive off :)

i was thinking of buying one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10374&item=4535710093&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

living in a 2 bedroom semi, there is not really much room for a hardtop. at least then i could put it in my shed and not worry about it getting knocked about a little.

i know the auction is for e36 but they do e46 stuff too

anyone have one of these?

My hardtop was taken off today. I'm trying to sell it at the mo so hopefully it wont be stored for too long. Driving in the vert this afternoon with that sun was a fantastic feeling and I can't wait for summer [cool

thats what i have. its quite a neat solution, you take it off the wall and place the hardtop in(fits perfectly) zip it up and put it back on the wall

Took the hardtop off with my bro this evening and even though its not that heavy, it was a bit difficult trying to get it in the house (lucky got a couple of double doors) and its going to sit in my conservatory until I pick up the hardtop stand from the dealers tommorow.

Some of these other solutions sound cool :D

Its a real "different" experience driving with the roof down [ok

Need an EvoTechnik meet as its warming up! [jam [jam

Thought i start. It was the first time i had the roof off on my M3, it was beautiful the noise was much louder and i loved every minute of it. Summer is comming :D

As you can see I upgraded the exhaust to some Supersprint back box. i paid £150 :D for it second hand and it's the best £150 i spent, the sound is a lot deeper but not too overwhelming

Also changed the boot brake light to some LED type to match with the rear upgrade already done when i bought the car.
