After the recent spate of M3 purchases which have given me some ideas, there should be some accurate financing info flying around here now!
On the basis that I would want to spend £33k to £35k on a 2nd hand M3, finance it over 3 years with an agreed balloon payment of say £14,000, anyone got a rough idea as to what the monthly payments would be?
I'm currently paying appx. £460 pm for the 330 on a similar basis. A huge amount more than that?
Sorry to ask on here, but don't want to go to the dealer just yet and get too excited!
check out this thread. Lots of useful info courtesy of whizzkid mainly ;)

I was initially looking at a PCP or Lease Purchase scheme (both identical, except in Lease Purchase, the residual value / balloon payment is not guaranteed). Anyway, with a £12k deposit, and £12k balloon payment, a £35k car was coming out at £400 per month (that was 7.8% APR).
In the end, I went for sub £30k car and decided against the finance, as I did not want to be tied into the car for 3 years in case it turns out to be too impractical.

Baloon in 3 years will not be £14000, Maybe in the region of £12000, also depends on what year your car is. Also, how much down payment are you making?

I looked into this too. On a brand new M3 (alpine white of course) for 42k. with a 10k deposit and a guaranteed 18k balloon. Monthly payments were £540.........im buying an FQ330 instead ;)
Guys M3 are great cars but dont get too carried away lol.
Make sure you figure in petrol, insurance, servicing, warranty etc.
As with most performance cars, not too bad to buy but expensive to run....i've found this out over the years.
...but the noise and drive outweighs all that :D

BMW quote:
Purchasing Price: 43k
10k deposit
borrowing 33k
Monthly repayment £560 over 3 years
Baloon Payment 12k at end of term.
If you don't want to settle the amount you can continue financing it.

£12k seems depressingly low for a 3 year balloon on a 40k + car ! Was that a GFV, or just a balloon payment ?
I'd have thought a new M3 (about £44k) would be worth at least 15, if not more, after 3 years - even factoring in the new M3 coming out.

12k is the MINIMUM amount the car would be worth after the 3yr period. You may find they offer you 20k for it after 3 yrs.

Thats most likely a 3.8% FLAT RATE... which in real terms equates to approx 7.6% APR.... which is still V V Good!! Similar to an "average" loan nowadays.

Have to agree on this. I had a 330sports conver before the M3 and the cost is about 20-30% more on the 330
Petrol is a lot more, insurance is about £500 extra i am now paying £650 excess instead of £150. Servicing and parts is about 20-30% more.
this is the reason why i think M3 have a lot of owners. :o
It a lot of money but it something that has to be done once in your life time
