Can you guys help with a question? or Andy? I'm going to get the central fascia bracket for an after market stereo. I was wondering how easy it would be to fit, I know how to take the the old stereo out. Have heard the heater controls have to come out too. Does this just pull off? what else is required?
Thanks in advance.

hello mate,
the oem headunit comes out aswell as the heater controls, they just pop out. you will then need to take out the top aircon vent and the whole carcass that holds the stereo and heater controls. this is because you will need to order the central fitting carcass as well. not a hard job, just long.
Andy
Beemers are one of the most awkward cars for fitting aftermarket HUs :D
In my Pug it took literally 1min to have the old HU out. And that included unlocking the door!
All buy Peugeots, lmao :D

the air vents come out after you remove the headunit. it is a bit of a biatch to come out. it needs to be prised gently from the top and bottom at both ends. be gently or you will end up cracking it.
