Does anybody have a picture of the interior dash and door trims for an e46 finished in alantara?or can anyone describe what it looks like? I have seen most trims but can't recall ever seeing this one, the seller lists them as m3 trim but his picture isn't very clear.

Thanks

Hello mate, well alantara...if thats how you spell it, is like a sort of brushed velvet look, if you know what i mean? Some of the 330's came with it, not sure if its standard fitment or optional.
If you take a look in PBMW mag this month, the white M3 cover car has alantara seats.

You don't get alcantara trims unless it's a custom job. Factory alcantara interior only involves alcantara on the seat bolster and headrests. The rest are wrapped in ammaretta cloth and the dash is vinyl.
M3 trims are titanium shadown (a specific colour painted over plastic trims). I think the seller is not sure what he is describing as 'trims'

Thanks guys,
I have phoned the fella selling these and i think your quite right Nick he doesn't seem to be aware that alcantara is the material used for seat and presumably the door cards.
I asked him if he can tell me the colour, he describes it as a dark metalic gray, so presuming this came from an M3 as described do think it will be shadow titainium or was there another option
Thanks again

There are many cost options, but if it's dark grey it's likely to be titanium shadow.

All genuine E39 and E46 Sport models (Ie, the actual Sport models with M-tech bodykit and suchlike) came as standard with Alcantara Sports interior, unless the original buyer paid extra for leather (Which most people did). As mentioned only the side bolsters, headrests etc are actually alcantara. The rest is a sort of cloth type material. Doorcards are also cloth.
You COULD specify full Alcantara as part of the BMW Individual program. A friend has a 330i Sport in Sun Blaze yellow or something, which complete yellow alcantara seats..
