Advice Please on Selling my Private Plate

I'm looking to sell my private Number plate & wonder how I go about this. [hmm

Has anyone done it & got any advice for me ? :confused:

Contact DVLA, put the plate on a retention certificate, then sell it through classifieds, ebay etc.

My colleague sold his plates thru major reg companies newreg and what they do is u tell them u want to sell it, they will value it, send u a letter confirming this, and they advertise on their sites until sold. the problem is that u never know when you're going to sell them so if you're in a rush then I suggest eBay:)

I'm not desperate to sell it, but I'm leaving the country in June so wanted it all sorted by then, do you think that's realistic ?

It's just my initials and DOB so I doubt it's gonna sell very easily if I do my own ad.

Will these big companies just buy it ?
