2. Next Generation CCFL Angel Eyes with improved features such as bigger
rings, groove/cut marks on the rings (like OEM E39 halos), proper fitting clips for E46 models, and a reworked inverter. Kit is not universal to all BMWs.
3. Enhanced Next Generation CCFL Angel Eyes: with larger rings, groove/cut
marks, and also silver backings on the back of the rings to reduce reflection. The inverter has also been reworked specifically for BMW OBC so that even the sidelight bulbs are removed after installation it will not trigger a warning light on dashboard. Kits not universal to fit all BMWs at the moment only available for E36, E39 and E46 models. This kit will also be available with a specific design to fit 2004~ Facelift E46 coupe and convertible.

you got it Lee ;) According to the factory it's not that hard to fit halos to facelift coupe and convertible, removal of sealant can be done by using a hairdryer with a gentle warm blow.

If you have a greenhouse or a conservatory, wait for a sunny day and you end up with a very effective and much more civilised oven.. ;)

I had people saying that they want the rings to look more OEM (like those on E39) so we made cut marks on the rings. They will be more noticable when off during daylight yes. The reason our original CCFL did not have cut marks on the rings was because they are less visible when off.

so thats the only diff the new has cut marks in them and u can see them when turned off and the old ones dont have cut marks and u cant see them when turned off.
the pics u posted 2 are of e46's how come 1 looks more blue than the other?
cause i really like the effect of the black car i think its a the facelift 1 it looks more white blue than just blue.

in terms of brightness they are all the same, very bright and visible during daytime. The colour on the current kit is rated at 8500k which produces a white colour with a hint of blue. The new kit colour will be arated at 7500k which produces a pure white colour.
The current kit is less visible when switched off and the new kit because there are groove makrs on them so the rings will be more visible even when switched off. It's really down to personal preferences.
They are all very well made and value for money of course [read

hey mate the new kit will not fit facelift E39 unfortunately the current kit is universal to fit most models though, Scorcher and Tin have fitted the current version and they look ACE.
I have only 2-3 sets in stock now, shipment for current kit will come in towards the end of March.

Teddy, about time you got some CCFL for facelift coupes! :D
I want to clarify before I mod my baby ;)
What are the drawbacks in fitting these kits?
When do the halos turn on, with side lights only for example?
How easy is fitment?
Are you around next Friday?
This is a mod my wife really likes too [cool

angel eyes for facelift coupe and convertibles will be with me early April, the rings are different sizes to fit facelift coupe. They take power from the sidelight cables so you have total control as to when you want the light to turn on. For example, turn your light switch to position 1 and the halos will be turned on. The sidelight holder can be repositioned in the engine bay or with the new kit the inverter has a built in resistor so you can remove the bulbs and not get any warning lights. [cool Fitting should not be too hard, the only thing is that you need to heat up the sealant on the facelift headlights to be able to take them apart, the rest should be very straightforward same as prefacelift models.
Drawbacks? Not that I know of lol if I must pick on then it'd be the extra attentions you get from onlookers

You don't think there will be any issues with regards to condensation in the lights? I would assume that when the lights are put back together properly and resealed, they should be watertight.
From your contacts, do you know anyone who has done this to see if there is any damage to the sealant in the medium term?

Not that it applies to E46 headlights but E36 headlights commonly mist up and no-one knows of any damaging effect that has, so I presume it wouldn't damage anything on the E46 either. Just looks ugly :( Of course it maybe completely different.
Also, is it possible that once you undo that seal it might let gases or something in there which are avoided at production time, thus creating problems? Only a thought :)

You shouldnt get any condensation if you heat the sealant and seal it properly. Roy has done a few facelifts. There was his vert in the latest PBMW that had the kit on.

angel eyes will be back in stock from next week, put your names down if you would like a set.
We will also have angel eyes kits made specifically for facelift E46 coupe and convertible, and also a kit for E39 5 series with OEM BMW halos too. The E39 5 series kit will also fit the new 7 series. Nick maybe you should get your mum's car done lol it'll be the first 7 series in the UK to have the CCFL halos, how sick!

Teddy, from the photos, I prefer the look of the original as they will show less in daylight. Are you able to supply these with all the improvements of the enhanced next gen CCFLs?
Will you have the next gen installed for Sunday?

if the weather helps then yes. I was going to do it today, got everything/tools ready then suddely the rain started to fall... [bang
Ant man - original CCFL is also my favourite too, the 2 new kits are only here to cater customers with different preferences. Nothing wrong with the original kit of course benefits on new kits are larger rings and groove marks, if you want to remove the sidelight bulbs then you can always get a resistor, like 1 quid each. But for your facelift coupe I don't think the original kit will fit. Facelift coupe and convertible can only have the Enhanced Next Gen CCFL [cool
could the original rings be combined with the new resisitors? So you could get rid of the sidelight?... just a thought :D.
