Weekday mods part 3

Whilst my wife is away on her late shift, I've headed straight to the garage to add some more mods.

Mod 1 - Chrome exhaust tips (free from Coopers BMW :D )

Mod 2 - Pipercross induction kit (149.99 rrp but got it for 31 quid, BARGAIN)

I don't think anyone here has Pipercross and I was wary at first but I'm gonna give it a try. 300quid+ for an induction kit just does not make sense to me :confused: Check out the dyno from the same M52 engine.

lol looks funny ;) What you on about £300+ :p Im sure teddy does it cheaper ;). Although your right for £31 you cant go wrong! The chrome tips look cool tho! You still got your old covers? So i can see whether the free ones will infact fit mine.

Afif, I threw them away but they are in the dust bin if you want. The fine binmen of Elmbridge council collects them on Wed morning so if u want it, say now so that I can keep them aside for you:)

Yes Nick, all these mini mods are like a teenage rebellion since I want a coupe. If I get rich, I'd like to buy a 330Ci Clubsport or even an Estril Blue M3 SMG. My brother drives a MK1 Skyline GTR, the other drives a R33 Skyline so I am waaaaaaaaaaay behind (even my dad drives a R35 350GT :mad: :mad: :mad:) . Bring on the weekly Lotto :)

Yes King of Suspension "Willie" ;) , as long as the car is lowered by HIN then I'll be happy. I don't want to get slagged off by you lot when I hook up with you guy for the first time.

I drove around last night with the induction kit and I can definitely hear the air getting sucked in from 3000rpm, but it's not a 'roar', more like a whistley suction. The dyno shows that i get max performance gain at 6000rpm but I wimpishly change gear at 5000rpm, and rarely go near 6000rpm, so will try out this afternoon. Dan, have u found a suitable intake kit?

I got the free one for my sister, the dealership I got it from (BMW Lind) sent me just one... after checking that it was for a 316i SE - and they posted it too me!!

It should definitely fit, best call one of the garages that have serviced your car in the past and quote the part number originally posted.

All set ready to roll - if it doesn't fit you can make bucks on eBay - like others!!!
