Ipod aswell as cd changer?

Is there a way of connecting an ipod controlling it from the headunit and still retaining the use of the cd changer? I've got the business minidisc headunit at the moment, don't want to be without cd's. The other option would be to change to a cd headunit, am I right in thinking that newer ones are mp3 compatible? Which is better business or professional? My car is fitted with the harmon kardon system, otherwise I'd change the headunit for something better.

stock system, no, you have one input which the cd changer takes up, the ipod obviously replaces this input.

With aftermarket systems such as Alpine, you have the same issue unless you either go for top end with 2 or more inputs, OR go for their media expander boxes which allow cd changer, ipod, DVD and navi all running through the head unit.
