View Full Version : Following in Peppernicks light weight theme...
Well, I just can't help it. As per my last threads, I have been thinking about some new shoes and decided that it would be better to just buy some than think about it.
Well, they arrived yesterday.

They may not be to everyones tastes and I know a lot of peeps advised against them, but the weight saving swung it and the individuality of them.

Also, the pics really don't do them justice as they look spot on in the flesh.
The new rims really show off the brakes well now too and there is literally a cats whisker between the one edge of the AP calipers and the spokes.

Seriously love 'em. And they weigh in at only 8.15kg (which is as light as hell :D ).
The improvement in unsprung weight is really noticeable as the steering feels lighter and more responsive. Turn in is better and handling is much improved.

Wow, they look a lot better than I thought. I know I was one of the ones to advise against it, and I take back what I said. Looks good.

Thanks for the comments. I too was a bit unsure but I tell ya, old skool rims and they still look HOT. Think they look better due to the colour of the car and the ride height, than the pics of the US one that I posted up before.

Yep, must admit, they look :cool: ...but the CH's look :cool: too., I'll be sticking to 18's too..

Congrats on the new wheels Raj!!!! They look like 19's to me with the spoke stretching to the edge of the rim!! Shows off your AP's really well too!!!

Yep Tedster they certainly are. The CHs were 11.4kg and these are 8.15kg. When I took 'em out the boxes I couldn't believe the difference.

Excellent choice Raj. Told you they'll looking a lot better in flesh :cool: I saw an E30 with them on at the Ring it looked hard as nails, he ran the wheels without the chrome centre caps and that added a lot of aggression to the RCs. Try removing yours and see what they look like :)

Have to say I do like them with, but I do plan on trying them without and a small mod to the centres to allow an OEM centre cap.

Cheers again for the comments. I have always liked BBS and have rarely gone for any other brand. The CHs were tops but have to say I do prefer the RCs. I think they look more classy/CSLish and suit the car better. And, they are rare and very individual....:cool:

Motorsport Wheels is the UK importer for BBS but you can buy them from a number of outlets. The only thing with the RCs though is that BBS do not make them anymore.
The set I bought were one of the last 2 sets that Motorsport Wheels had left in stock for E46 non M fitment. Don't know if they have M fitment.
