right, im shopping around for a newer car for the ball and chain, wife, cars are so expensive over here, so heres what iv sort of come up with,
2001 Ford Focus hatch back 1.6 ZeTeck RED 81k on the clock, 21.000 YTL
or
GETZ made by a comapny called Hyundi
2004 Light Met Blue 1.4 GLS 11k on the clock 4 year warrante remaining, 17,000YTL
Both have the same amount of toys and specks apart from the engine size,
What do you think would be the better car to buy and why?
or have you got one of them or had one of them?
Paul
PS still no 330 for me untill my new residence visa is granted

If it was my choice I would go for the Focus, they always
have good write ups and resale values are pretty good as
well.At the end of the day it is about personal choice.
Umm dont anyone hunt me down but get the focus as the GETZ is made in Korea and according to the old man this isnt a good thing ahaha dads are always correct but then again he sell Mitsubishi's he would say that

i would get the Focus from the two u listed, but ultimately, I'd go and get a Japanese car. reliable as hell and if it's a Toyota/Nissan, you're resale value will be just as good as a Focus. I've been to Turkey so I know what it's like to own a car and how easily u get dents/scratches (too many crazy taxi drivers) so u may not want to spend too much money on it cause u know it'll get trashed. how about a Yaris, Honda Jazz? the only good thing about Korean cars is that they are cheap to buy and often give u longer warranty but apart from the Hyundai Coupe, I've never heard anything good about them.

Drive them both, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the Hyundai. Three years ago, my dad wanted a cheap runabout for his retirement, and he went for a brand new Hyundai Accent. I took it out on a test drive. It's only a 1.3 engine, so it's no rocket ship, but the inside was a pleasant place to be, no squeaks or rattles, even today, 3 years later, and up to now, it's got the best gear change of any car I've sat in. The way the gears just snick into place, I love it. Sunroof, power steering, electric windows, decent head unit. Focus is a great car, but trust me, you'll only be buying it because all of the badge snobs will tell you to buy it. Test drive the getz, if you don't end up with a smile on your face, I'll be very surprised
