Just purchased a new private plate for me M3, needs a slight touch of mis-representing on 1 of the letters, but nothing too bad :D

What do you think?

Do you think i'll get much hassle from the old bill?

There might be a possibility of me selling on the plate, if takes anyones fancy and they make me the right offer. PM me if your interested.

John

Is that M30NYA? Why cut the top off the Y and A?

that's lame bro. you might as well just use M30NYA on your car. no probs with the police and all your speeding tickets will go to someone you don't know:)

Nice Plate! I have C BRAD and D BRAD on the convertible and X5, got pulled and was told to change them back to C3 RAD and D3 RAD!

He didnt give me a fine just a ticket to get stamped by a local MOT dealer and send off, but he said if i was caught again then they have the power to take the numbers away from you :(

My advise just be very careful, because if they do pull you its an excuse to check your tyres, Mot (if you have one), Insurance and worst of all the ALCOHOL TEST:mad:

Wish you luck - that last letter looks like too much like a legitimate "A".

I got pulled for my German plates by a friendly plod who didn't fine or point me but had me promise I would take them off; that was with a very clearly presented plate in another font and colour [white at the rear] which I have done. Not worth the hassle and [potential penalised] expense...

Had a play around with the last letter, think I've prob got more chance with this 1;

hope so anyway, i'll give it a go and see how I get on.

copper will come down on you like a ton of bricks dude.

cool plate though, M3 ON YH its like sayin M3 on yeah.

Have it like M3 ON YH, but if you can get away with that H looking like an A then bonus!!!

Wow that is really pushing it i thought black and silver plates were bad! imo i would run the plate you just posted up on the front and run a more normal looking h on the back less likely to get stopped.

My cuzin runs a black and silver plate on the front and normal at the back and hasnt been stopped so far

In my experience, a normal traffic cop will probably let you off a mis-spaced plate, but tell you to get it changed.
With this one, you are doing two mis-spacings and messing with the last letter.
That is potentially three offences.
Try and go for a conventional M3 followed by three letters, if you must have an M3 type number.
Good luck though!

I really wouldn't run that plate as it stands in those pics. If you get pulled for spacings and then they find out it is supposed to be a H and not an A, I personally think they will do you. Best of luck.

why not use a black screw cover in between the top of the H, that way less obvious, stay clear of bending the letters, you will get pulled, and TBH it looks a bit chavy.

Even if it did say it, what does M3 On Ya actually mean? Not a fan myself.

Cheers for the comments lads, even if half of them were quiet negative :(, least a few of you like it, I know I do. Think i'm gonna try the 2nd 1, or just put a bolt at the top of the H, and see how I get on, if I get pulled i'll stick the H back to the way it should be.

Does anyone know if there are any other U.K. M5 forums like this one?
